About Vecchia Napoli Qawra

Vecchia Napoli a trattoria and pizzeria, situated right on the seafront in Qawra.

At Vecchia Napoli Qawra the flour for the pizza dough comes from Naples’ most respected mill and the mozzarella fior di latte is shipped from Italy each week.

Vecchia Napoli boasts what is probably Malta’s favorite pizza, the Calzone Capo di Monte which combines the seductive flavors of truffle and four different Italian kinds of cheese.

If you’re not in a Pizza mood, the Vecchia Napoli menu offers alternatives such as a fresh salad or antipasto, a warm antipasto, platters or artisan-produced cheeses and salumi or a plate of pasta all cooked to classical Campanian recipes.

Compliment any meal with an interesting selection of wines at reasonable prices from Malta, Italy and the New World.

Unfortunately, our experience was not a good one at all. One of us had to return the risotto twice (served cold and not cooked enough) The pizzas (Capriciosa and calzone ) were undercooked (ingredients were raw) I was offered another choice for the risotto. I opted for pizza funghi but again it was cold and ingredients were raw. Our experience was not a nice one at all. We have been to vecchia Napoli Salina and Ghadira. No complaints there at all. I hope the service and food at the Qawra restaurant improve drastically. We hope this message is taken seriously. Thanks for your time and consideration.

It’s very noisy and definitely for us pensioners isn’t the right atmosphere. Apart from this the service is excellent and the food is also very good indeed . We frequent Vecchia Napoli every fortnight but we shall stick to the Salina one . Larger and less noisy

The place was overrun by rowdy kids running, screaming and chasing each other around the tables...away from their parents' table while they enjoyed their evening in perfect harmony. If the parents don't get to discipline their kids then the restaurant manager should ask the parents to do so or leave the establishment!

Came on Saturday 26th Novemeber, the pizza where good but we had 1 pasta amatricana both the linguine and the guanciale where overcooked, and 3 linguine prawn and zucchini and the taste was horrible we ended up eating the prawn only we left the pasta there and none of the waiters asked if something was wrong. At this point we didn't complain but paid the bill and left.
